What kind of tickets do you accept?

Kids Up Front gratefully accepts any child-friendly event ticket or admissions pass, as well as opportunities for extracurricular activities, including music, dance, swimming, martial arts, drama and art classes. Not sure if we can use your tickets? Get in touch at 416-479-6971.

Who gets my tickets?

Deserving kids from every corner of the city! Kids Up Front has partnered with 250 charitable, child- and youth-serving agencies to help distribute tickets to thousands of children every year. All of our registered Agency Partners formally agree to put tickets into the hands of suitable young people within their programs, then arrange for supervision, coordinate event logistics and strictly adhere to Kids Up Front policies. We work very hard to make sure tickets are broadly distributed to help maximize the number of children who benefit.

Can I donate tickets for a same-day event?

Of course! All we ask is that you let us know about your donation by 12 p.m. and that the tickets are at our office by 2 p.m. that day. This little bit of lead-time allows us – with the assistance of our Agency Partners – to select a recipient and coordinate logistics. If you can give us more notice, even better! That means we’re better able to make sure your tickets go to those children who will benefit the most from them.

How late can I drop off tickets?

For same-day events, tickets must be received by 2 p.m. so we have time to make sure they go to the right recipient. All other tickets can be forwarded until 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Can I donate an e-ticket?

Absolutely! E-tickets can be sent to tickets@kidsupfronttoronto.com. You’ll receive a confirmation email so you know we’ve received them.

How do I get the tickets to you?

Who are your partner agencies?

We’ve partnered with 250 local agencies to make sure kids from all over the city have access to unforgettable experiences. Some have been doing great work in Toronto for decades. Others are recently founded organizations that are addressing the changing needs of a changing city. You can see our full list of partner agencies here.

Can I direct my tickets to a specific agency?

Definitely. Just have a look at our list of 250 partner agencies and let us know where you’d like your tickets to go.

How do I know my tickets will be used by a child?

We guarantee it. We have a strict policy about recipients: tickets only go to children, youth or families, and we only work with agencies that adhere to it. We also follow up with our Agency Partners and ticket recipients to make sure that tickets go where they’re supposed to.

Who supervises the children during events?

A suitable adult – often a parent or a community worker – is selected by our Agency Partner to supervise the children while they’re at an event.

Can I get a charitable tax receipt for my ticket donation?

Yes. If the tickets are yours, you may be issued a charitable tax receipt for the face value of the ticket (HST and any convenience charges are exempt). Please note that Canada Revenue Agency requires that donors provide the ticket as proof of purchase for all charitable tax receipts.

Do you accept financial contributions?

With gratitude! Financial gifts support Kids Up Front’s one-of-a-kind, free service. We do not charge partner agencies to register, nor do ticket donors pay a convenience fee. Kids Up Front Foundation is a registered charity and complies with Imagine Canada’s Ethical Fundraising and Financial Accountability Code. You can donate here right now.
