The Kids’ City Park Project

Kids Up Front Toronto is launching The Kids’ City Park Project to achieve our goal of including and engaging youth and their families by connecting them to nature through access to educational and recreational programs in our city parks.  Last week we took a group of 20 kids to the Rouge Valley Conservation area. Kids In the Woods Initiative (K.I.W.I), a nonprofit organization that provides outdoor nature experiences for children donated the programming for the day. The kids took part in a 3 hour long scavenger hunt throughout the conversation area. All the kids enjoyed being outdoors and learning about the insects, plants and animals that are in the Rouge Valley. Thanks K.I.W.I for donating the programming for such a fun day outside!
